The Duke of Cambridge was out on royal duties on Thursday and visited Championship side West Bromwich Albion. An avid fan of their rivals Aston Villa, William was there in his role as President of the FA. But when he arrived West Brom’s CEO Mark Jenkins had a very cheeky surprise for the future King.
Mr Jenkins presented William with two shirts for his youngest children.
Prince George was left out as he is already a big supporter of Aston Villa - like his father.
Earlier in the season, Prince George made social media go into a frenzy after celebrating a stunning strike from his Villa side during a match with Norwich.
When handing over the gift, Mr Jenkins joked: “I don’t think we’ve got a chance with your eldest.”
While at the club William also discussed his mental health campaign, which he aims to bring to footballers.
However, he light-heartedly said: “I'm sorry I'm here as an Aston Villa fan but I'm hoping we can move on from that."
The Kensington Royal Instagram account discussed the other reasons behind his trip.
It wrote: “Today The Duke of Cambridge met the @WBA squad to talk about some of the pressures they face as players and the impact these challenges can often have upon their mental wellbeing.

“All my friends at school were either Man United fans or Chelsea fans and I didn’t want to follow the run-of-the-mill teams.
“I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments."
It comes after it was revealed that Prince William once refused to talk to his late mother Princess Diana.
The pair had a disagreement with how she behaved during the separation with William’s father Prince Charles.
The Duke was known to be close to Diana.
During the divorce, she was known to lean on the young Prince.
William was only 15 when she died while his brother Harry was 12.
They have often spoken out about how much they miss her and continue to grieve for Diana.
However, William and his mother did have a brief falling out not long before she tragically died.
