Harry and William’s relationship is believed to be quite fractured at the moment, even though the two of them, along with their wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, were once referred to as the Fab Four. The two couples did all live on the Kensington Palace estate but Harry and Meghan abruptly moved out to Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage earlier this year. The couple also featured in a documentary ‘Harry and Meghan: An African Journey’ in October, where Harry admitted he and his brother have “good days” and “bad days”, and struggle to find time to see one another due to their busy schedules.
He also said: “We’re certainly on different paths at the moment.”
However, in their youth, the two were known for being close.
While they were both part of the RAF training in Shrewsbury in 2009, they decided to share small cottage together instead of living with all the other trainees at the base.
In her 2018 biography, ‘Harry: Conversations with the Prince’, Angela Levin explained what the Duke of Sussex thought about living with his elder brother.
As Ms Levin pointed out, this resulted in “brother-bonding”.
During an interview, they showed their “comedy duo act” and spoke about what it was like to be living together once again.
Harry said: “It’s for the first time and the last time I can assure you of that.”
Ms Levin explained: “William, who Kate devotedly cooked for and even ran his bath, insisted he did all the cooking and had to tidy up after his messy brother.”
At this point, Kate and William had been dating for some years, having been university sweethearts. They would go on to marry in 2011.

Yet the biographer also pointed out a tender moment between the two – “Harry admitted: ‘Exams have never been my favourite and I always knew that I was going to find it harder than most people.’
“William immediately showed his caring side, in a way that was reminiscent of how he tried to help mother when she was in despair, by lavishing praise on his younger brother.”
William was known to be one of Princess Diana’s main confidantes during her difficult and high-profile divorce in 1996.
In the wake of their documentary in October, a royal insider said William was “worried” about his brother and hoped they are “all right”.
The brothers were last seen together during the annual Remembrance service ceremony on Sunday, November 10.
Harry is currently on a break from royal duties with Meghan and their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
