Tim Cook’s tasty street food odyssey continues in Thailand
Tim Cook’s street food tour of East Asia continues. Earlier this week, Cook enjoyed a traditional breakfast in Singapore’s Tiong Bahru Market. Now he’s hopped over to Thailand, where he chowed down on some “five star” crab omelette in Bangkok with food bloggers Yota and Jira.
Oh, and visited some developers and Apple users, too. But, you know, that crab omelette!
Cook’s visit to East Asia commenced with a trip to Japan, during which he visited Apple’s first Apple Store outside the US (which opened way back in 2003.) He then headed to Singapore, where he visited Apple’s first Singapore Apple Store and met a number of developers.
Today Tim Cook is in Thailand. According to his Twitter feed, Cook did some site-seeing along the Chao Phraya River. This culminated in a visit to the Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan Buddhist temple.
Cook then met with students, who are using Apple’s Everyone Can Create syllabus. After this, it was on to see how the Thai women’s national volleyball team use Apple products in their training. Then he crossed paths with a pair of Thai WWDC scholarship winners. Then he visited an Apple Store (Apple IconSiam) to see people using Swift Playgrounds. The store opened late last year.
Frankly, after that kind of hectic day it’s hard to begrudge Tim Cook enjoying that omelette on his Thailand travels. Does the guy even find time to sleep?
