'Seinfeld' actor's body found partially scavenged by vultures: Report - Yahoo News

Disturbing new details have emerged in the death of "Seinfeld" actor Charles Levin months after his remains were found in a remote area of Oregon.

Levin's decomposed body was found partially consumed by vultures down a steep slope, according to new details from police obtained from the Daily Mail.

The 70-year-old was in the process of moving when he was reported missing by his son in June. When his body was found in July, Levin had been dead for days along with his pet pug, Boo Boo Bear.

The actor's car was reportedly found with a broken mirror and dents. Authorities believe Levin was turned around on the way to his new home and left his car in order to try to get help on foot. It appears died after he fell down a ravine as he attempted to get help.

His death has reportedly been ruled an accident.

Levin was best known for playing Elliot Novak on the 1976-85 sitcom "Alice," becoming a regular during the show's ninth season. He also played the mohel on "The Bris" episode of "Seinfeld" and played the recurring role of Eddie Gregg on "Hill Street Blues" from 1982 to 1986.
