I don’t normally call scuttlebutt breaking but this source has a nearly 100% accuracy rating and, well, Bombay Street Food is awesome. So there you go. Anyway, this morning we learned that The Red Boat had abruptly closed after less than a year in the former Micho’s space. Well, like I said, I hear Bombay Street Food will be taking over the space. STAY TUNED.
Bombay Street Food has locations in Columbia Heights and on Barracks Row. They also recently opened Butter Chicken Company downtown. They are very very well liked. Not clear if this space will be a Bombay Street Food, a Butter Chicken Company or something else. But it’ll definitely be a big score for H Street whatever iteration they choose.
